Boogie Boarding (as time allows)

One of our
favorite activities is going to the beach to boogie board. Above is a
picture of our youngest "boarders" Victoria and Spencer with
their cousin Kailie. In the back ground you can see Grace (L) and Kent
William (R). We have grown fond of the beach at Bellows Air Force base on
the windward side of the island. The surf does not have a strong undertow
and some days the waves can be big for the children.
Before
we go, we give Aunt Tana a call to see if cousins Tara, Kailie and Ben can
join us. We are always excited to see cousins and to do fun activities
with them. As Victoria says, "Aunt Tana is fun."
If we are not
off to the beach during the week, we can be found at Scot's Pool at the
Navy base. The children enjoy the giant water slide and the diving boards. They desire
to learn to dive. Karen usually has
three along the side of the pool asking Mom to watch them dive. In
between dives she races with Grant as he learns to swim with his
floaties.
As Grace said
the other day, "I wish Dad didn't miss all the fun things we
do." Karen assured her that he is having a good time at work - he
really is enjoying his job! About every other weekend we get him out with
the family doing something fun.
There are
several more photos of the children at the beach. The beautiful waters and
country side in these photos is well worth the few minutes to view them,
too.
