Leaving Connecticut

Before
the children were taken to Pennsylvania, they had their last meal with our
dear neighbors, Aunt Mila, Uncle Rudy and Fran. The children will always
remember their warmth in welcoming them in their home at any time. Uncle
Rudy's exercise equipment was enjoyed by all. The candy dishes, a bottle
of soda and a package of cookies were usually empty by the time the
children returned home from their afternoon visits.
Kent and Karen
were blessed by staying with Mila and Rudy while Kent finished his
check-out process. Rudy's Bed and Breakfast was tops! We appreciate the
Mariano family's gracious hospitality and care given to Kent and Karen
while they were with them. Many thanks!
Returning to
Pennsylvania, we took two and a half days to re-pack the Suburban and a day to go
to New York City to ship Kent's work car. We visited the Statue of Liberty
and Ellis Island that day. Our days have been
full. It was tough making decisions on what to travel with as we packed
for traveling through three climates. The car could have been ten feet longer for all our
"stuff," but after leaving some things at Nana's we were able to
get everything into the two car top carriers and our Suburban.
