This may look like several trees, but
if examined closely, you can see how the trees they are connected at the base.
Coastal Redwoods (Sequoia sempervirens) do produce cones to develop seedlings but
these bud
trees are also started at the base. This allows new trees to grow more
quickly since the roots are already established by the parent tree.
