National Audubon Society
Corkscrew Swamp Sanctuary (2/12/00)

The children in front of the wet prarie lands.

Before we left the Naples area, Kent really wanted the children to see the Florida "Everglades" habitat. He settled on going to this sanctuary. The walk was just over 2 miles through swamps, marsh, wet prairie (above), lettuce lake on "The World's Best Boardwalk" made of Pau Lope wood from Brazil . The wildlife was abundant. We saw owls, alligators, storks, ibis, herons and lizards all along the walk.

We took many pictures which we hope you will enjoy on our Photo Album pages.
