Traveling Through Texas (2/16 - 17/00)

On February 16 we had a short three hour trip to Princeton, Texas were we stayed with Karen's Aunt Mary. We were, also, happy to see cousins Susie and Kim. It has been many years since Karen had seen either one of them.

Aunt Mary treated us to a grand day. We started by going to a wonderful Chinese Buffet restaurant. Some of the children were not too sure about Chinese food, but they loved it once they tasted the different portions. It was great that Kim had the day off from work to join us. We had time to catch up on news about the last 19 years of our lives.

After a short return to Aunt Mary's, we left to see the movie "Stuart Little." Kent and Karen thought for sure some of the children would fall asleep. Everyone was so intrigued by the little mouse, that we all saw the whole movie.

Kim made a delicious taco dinner with all the fixin's. Susie joined us for dinner. It was wonderful to visit with her, since the last time we saw each other was 12 years ago.

In the morning Aunt Mary made a big breakfast that we all enjoyed. The visit was short but it was great to see more family and introduce them to our children. Although it had rained during the night, we had a pleasant drive with good weather through western Texas to New Mexico.
