Our trip to Hawaii (3/22/00)

In the lobby of the Hale Koa Hotel. This was established as a military recreation area of the Pacific. The lobby of this hotel is unlike any you would see on the mainland. (The continental United States is referred to as "the mainland.") It is much like a Luani or porch with no windows or doors with sitting area sections and many planters full of beautiful, flowering plants.
